You have literally everything right on your doorstep but the villa is located far enough away from the front of the complex that you get no noise from traffic or any of the bars. Next door is the Santa Maria hotel and across the road is the Hotel La Nina complete with gymnasium, spa and 24 hour parking (handy, as parking is a nightmare down here!) La Pinta Beach is a 2 minute walk from the complex and you have some excellent bars and restaurants in the area, for example, just 50 feet from the entrance to Las Carabelas is one of the best Chinese buffets in the South of Tenerife! On the beach front there are numerous restaurants serving, steak, Italian, Spanish, seafood etc.
The complex of Las Carabelas is very well maintained with immaculate gardens. The top pool has been completely reformed recently and looks stunning. The lower pool is currently scheduled to be re-tiled and will be vastly improved. It has a large shallow end so is ideal for small children. We can´t think of any disadvantages to the area or the complex – community fees are low, the other owners and guests on the complex are cordial and polite, most of them visiting for several months at a time and using the properties primarily as holiday homes. The community is in excellent shape and the president on the complex is easy going and helpful. You do not need to have a car here as everything is nearby and within a few minutes walk and if you want to get around the island there are taxis and bus stops in the area.
Upstairs, the villa has a large lounge and kitchen as well as a dining area built into the wall. From the lounge, there are patio doors leading out onto a terrace and a second set of patio doors leads out onto another terrace just off the dining area. Both terraces overlook the beautiful swimming pool and one of them has its own BBQ and chimney and both have partial sea views. The owner has had permission granted to join these two terraces into one large wrap around terrace which would add approximately 50% to its overall size and would make an excellent addition to the villa.
There is one double bedroom upstairs with built in wardrobes and a small balcony and a large bathroom adjacent. Downstairs you have 3 large bedrooms. The first two bedrooms both have double doors leading out onto ground floor terraces and gardens. The third bedroom is currently used as a storeroom and has a single door onto the terraced area. There is another small storage room downstairs of around 5m2.
From the front door of the villa, steps lead down to one of the communal swimming pools so whilst the upstairs is not wheelchair friendly the ground floor of the villa is fully accessible.
